PORTALES – The Eastern New Mexico football team invites all members of the ENMU and local communities to attend a scrimmage on Saturday, August 21 at 6 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
The Greyhound football team will do the Dawg Walk starting at 4:35 and gates to the stadium will open directly after. The scrimmage will then begin at 6 p.m.
“We are excited to have our ENMU students back on camps and are looking forward to a great 2021-2022 school year. It has been a long time since we have been able to get together as a community and support all of our Greyhound teams,” said Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities & Special Projects, Michael Molina.
The Athletic Department is postponing the gear sale that was originally scheduled to happen during the scrimmage. “Due to an abundance of caution we are postponing the ‘gear garage sale’ scheduled for Saturday, August 21st at the ENMU football scrimmage,” said Molina, “But we are planning other opportunities to purchase team gear so keep an eye on GoEasternAthletics.com for announcements.”
Concession stands will be open for the public during the scrimmage with food and beverages available for purchase.
The Hounds open the 2021 season on Thursday, Sept. 2 with a 6 p.m. home contest against Central Washington University.
